An important milestone was achieved by the LCO2 carrier "Active" of Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp., owned by Evangelos Marinakis, which is being built at the Hyundai Mipo Dockyard and has a capacity of 22,000 cubic meters of LCO2.

The ship successfully completed its first large-scale two-week CO2 transport trials. According to the company, this demanding process required detailed planning, a high level of technical expertise and the constant presence of the shipping team.

More than 54 trucks with domestically produced CO2 were used for the full verification of the tanks and cargo management systems. The “Active” is equipped with new generation Low-Pressure technology (8.0 barg / -55°C), contributing significantly to the reduction of transportation costs.
